We go through every little detail by covering everything from geopolitical risk, commodity analysis and market, to topography, hydrology and hydrogeology to metallurgy and geology through mining and geotechnics and environment and the closure plan This is professional technical analysis at its best! Mineral deposits are not equal. The methods to find and explore them (from geophysical, geochemical, mineral indicators, remote sensing, to drilling, bulk sampling and drifting) are analyzed for adequacy and exploration results are in-house interpreted. This sometimes leads to a different interpretation than the one included in the company's news releases, presentation and/or reports. The geological model is also questioned and validated. Then the reality sets in and we would use plain terms to explain it to the investor.
Technical reports, press releases and presentations are analyzed by mining professionals for inconsistencies and the results are being revealed in plain language along with their interpretation and most important with strategies for investing which take into consideration the newly identified problems. The work that the company would need to undertake and implications on the stock price as well as solutions to the aforementioned problems are also carefully weighed and explained.
In many cases institutional investors invest in a company or project which down the road proves to be plagued by hidden problems. Don't get fooled by the 'backing' provided by these institutional investors as they were wrong in so many cases. And we're talking hundred of millions to billions of dollars expended on moose pastures.
